The UAE Ministry of Finance has confirmed a phased mandate. Most businesses will need to issue and receive e-invoices through the Peppol network. Here’s what that actually means.
Structured XML, not PDF
An e-invoice is a structured XML file in PINT AE format. Emailing PDFs will no longer count as a valid invoice.
Peppol & ASPs, not the FTA directly
Invoices flow through Accredited Service Providers. Your ASP handles the technical hand-off and the FTA reporting layer.
Either natively, or through a connector to a UAE-accredited ASP. Most UAE platforms aren’t fully there yet.
